We have one permanent fulltime Level 6 Manager Communications and Stakeholder Engagement position available for immediate filling.

We are a small and collaborative team at Infrastructure WA preparing to embark on an exciting new chapter. If you would like to help shape our internal and external communications through this transformation, we would like to hear from you.

In this role you will have the autonomy to manage hands-on operational priorities, while playing an integral part in the strategic communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives, that will guide our transition to a Commission.

About us

Infrastructure WA (IWA) is a specialist State Government agency providing independent, evidence-based advice to shape Western Australia’s long-term economic and infrastructure outcomes. We work across strategic planning, economic development, investment prioritisation and reform, partnering with government, industry and the community to improve productivity, competitiveness, sustainability and liveability.

In 2026, IWA is transitioning to become the 2050 Commission — Western Australia’s first productivity commission. Its expanded remit will include industry development, economic transformation and service improvement, with infrastructure remaining a critical lever.

Reporting directly to the Premier, the organisation will provide independent advice in a complex and rapidly changing global environment. Its work will help Government maximise public value, lift living standards and strengthen public services through action-oriented policy, reform and major project advice.

IWA will draw on its expanding expertise to deliver industry development action plans, inquiries and assessments of major infrastructure proposals, supporting long-term prosperity, productivity and inclusive growth.

About you

You are a strategic and influential communications professional with experience leading communications, media and stakeholder engagement initiatives in complex environments. You combine exceptional writing, relationship-building and digital communication skills with the agility to thrive in a dynamic and evolving organisation. Your ability to balance day-to-day operational delivery with strategic leadership will be critical in supporting Infrastructure WA's successful transition to a productivity commission.

Your application

• submit a current curriculum vitae (maximum 4 pages).
• One demonstrated example of a successful communication or stakeholder engagement strategy you implemented in no more than 1 page. In your response, please include the following: What was the strategy? What was your role? Describe any challenges and lessons you learnt?

The selection process may include various selection tools in addition to interviews and reference checks.

Suitable applicants will be required to provide

• Proof of identity 100-point check (details will be advised after selection).
• A satisfactory National Police Certificate issued by the Western Australia Police.
