About the role

The Investments Branch is accountable for the efficient and effective management of the Investments and Realty transactions of clients of the Public Trustee, including superannuation. The Investments Branch has the responsibility to review the investment needs of the individual clients of the Public Trustee and establish, maintain and monitor their investment portfolios.

The Investment Officer assists the Senior Investments and Realty Officer with the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of investment portfolios for clients of the Public Trustee.

Communicates with Trust and Estate Managers on the operations of trust investments and financial planners on the purchase and sale of trust investments. This position reviews client investment portfolios with a value below $100,000. Liaises with real estate and settlement agents to coordinate the purchase, sale and settlement of realty.

Suitability Requirements

Through the recruitment process, we will be looking for a candidate who can demonstrate skills, experience and attributes in relation to the following:

Financial knowledge - The ability to interpret information within financial documents, such as budgets, transaction reports, financial statements, settlement statements and prepare annual reviews

Real Estate knowledge - A broad understanding of the Real Estate market from the appraisal process to settlement of a property.

Effective Communication - The ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.

Time Management - The ability to manage your time effectively to achieve positional and organizational outcomes.
