This is a permanent, part time vacancy (2 days a week: Thursday and Friday).
About the role
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant supports the HR Coordinator with the maintenance and completion of HR functions at Albany Regional Prison (ARP) including roster creation and maintenance, processing leave applications, allocating overtime shifts, and general interpretation and application of relevant Awards, Agreements and policies.

Administrative Skills - Strong administrative and clerical skills, including experience in data entry.
Positive Attitude - A positive approach to work, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to a supportive workplace culture that values respect, accountability, cooperation, and continuous improvement.
Communication - Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly, listen actively, and tailor communication to meet the needs of different audiences.
Candidates who can demonstrate these capabilities, together with a strong commitment to maintaining a positive workplace culture, will be well placed to succeed in this role.
