Leadership for All
Critical to our success in delivering value for the future of Western Australians is the leadership capability of our people. We believe that everyone is a leader, regardless of their role and we are committed to advancing our collective leadership impact by adopting the behaviours and mindsets in Leadership Expectations.
The Role
The HR Development Coordinator works with a dynamic and collaborative team to coordinate the delivery of people and capability initiatives across learning and development, early career employment programs, diversity and inclusion, health and wellbeing and other human resource development programs that bring our workforce strategy to life.
Under the direction of the Manager Human Resources Development, the position coordinates and provides support across team programs, initiatives and strategies, and provides responsive service delivery and support to staff and stakeholders.
To be successful in the role, you will have great organisational skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be able to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a timely way. In this role you will be liaising with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, so sound communication skills are required, along with the ability to build productive working relationships, including working respectfully with Aboriginal people and communities.
There’s plenty happening in our team over the next 12 months! As our HR Development Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of initiatives that build capability, support employee wellbeing and create more inclusive career pathways across the Department, including:
- bringing our 2027 Learning Plan to life, including coordinating the Skills Academy and broader workforce capability initiatives;
- supporting the delivery of our Thrive at DTWD Health and Wellbeing Program;
- coordinating our Traineeship and Graduate Programs and helping introduce new early career talent initiatives in 2027;
- contributing to the implementation of actions and initiatives in our new Diversity and Inclusion Strategy; and
- supporting people-focused actions within our Reconciliation Action Plan.
You’ll also have opportunities to learn from and work alongside senior colleagues, gaining exposure to a range of initiatives and building your skills and experience along the way.
As a measure to achieve equality under sections 51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who meet the requirements of the position may be prioritised for appointment.
Employee Benefits
You will have access to a range of benefits which may include:
- Flexible work arrangements including flexitime and working remotely;
- Flexible leave arrangements, including study leave;
- A comprehensive health and wellbeing program including Employee Assistance Program and Mental Health Contact Officers;
