Our venues operate seven days a week, so this position requires flexibility to work weekends and outside standard business hours when required. The role will involve travel across our venues, as well as occasional travel to Albany.
About the role
Are you an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment?
We’re looking for an accomplished Hospitality Manager to lead and grow our hospitality operations across Perth metro venues, being His Majesty’s Theatre, State Theatre Centre of WA and Subiaco Arts Centre, and in an advisory role to Albany Entertainment Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to shape exceptional food and beverage experiences across cafés, retail outlets, events and functions, while leading a diverse team and contributing to the success of Western Australia’s cultural and creative industries.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Leading and managing hospitality operations across multiple venues, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities.
- Overseeing hospitality services across a café, retail outlets, events and functions.
- Developing and implementing best-practice hospitality procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, WHS and environmental requirements.
- Leading, inspiring and developing a diverse hospitality team, creating a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion and high performance.
- Managing financial performance, including budgets, reporting, cost control, stock management, cash handling and rostering.
- Developing and implementing training and procedures that promote consistency, efficiency and high-quality service.

Location
This role will be based at one of our metropolitan venues and may be required to travel to work from ACT’s metropolitan sites as required.
About you
You are a confident and commercially minded hospitality professional, with a proven ability to lead people and deliver exceptional operational outcomes.
You will be expected to demonstrate;
- Experience managing hospitality operations and leading diverse teams in a complex environment.
- Strong ability to inspire, motivate and develop people while creating a clear sense of purpose and direction.
- Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, reporting, cost control and stock management.
- Experience developing and maintaining high-level client, supplier and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, consultation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences.

You also need to demonstrate the following qualification and license requirements:
- HACCP Food Safety Supervisor certification, or the ability to obtain this within one month of commencement.
- Completion of the relevant Liquor Licensing course (51544) to become an Approved Manager.
- A current Satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 6 months) will be required prior to commencing employment.
