The Role
The Position is responsible for monitoring and resolving RTO compliance in accordance with the Department’s Funding Agreement, business rules, related policies, standards and procedures for these contracted service arrangements. This involves analysing and processing claims submitted by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) contracted to deliver publicly funded training within Western Australia.

The Funding Compliance Officer provides information and advice to Contract Managers and other staff within the Branch and liaises with contracted RTOs and other stakeholders to ensure the provision of efficient and effective client services. The position undertakes research, analysis, and risk assessments of RTO data to ensure data quality and to inform continuous improvement projects and reporting requirements.

The Funding Compliance Officer supports key document quality control, record keeping, and collaborates in organising forums, workshops, and meetings. 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in funding administration, compliance, or vocational education and training (VET), come from a data analysis, payments, regulatory, or education funding background with a focus on funding compliance, customer service, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

You will have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report writing skills, with the ability to interpret policies, identify non-compliance issues, and provide accurate advice to stakeholders.
