The Role

The successful applicant will provide support to the Manager Corporate Services for the supervision of the college cleaning and gardening services, including managing cleaning and gardening staff whilst Coordinating and assisting in daily operations relating to the management and maintenance of college grounds, amenities and equipment. The successful applicant will coordinate the community use of college grounds and amenities, including scheduling and completion of required documentation whilst undertaking research and make recommendations regarding the acquisition of assets relating to the college grounds, buildings and amenities.

The successful applicant will coordinate the acquisition, deployment and recording of assets and resources relating to college grounds, buildings and amenities as well as related maintenance operations and procedures whilst assisting the Manager Corporate Services to develop and implement asset management and maintenance strategies for college facilities, equipment and buildings. The successful applicant will assist with the preparation of funding submissions, the evaluation of tenders and the coordination and management of contracts whilst building and maintaining effective working relationships and community networks.

The successful applicant will provide support to the Manager Corporate Services for the implementation and maintenance of security systems whilst arranging maintenance and repair of garden and cleaning machinery and fleet vehicles. Liaising with service providers, contractors and stakeholders in relation to facilities management, including consideration to Occupational Health and Safety requirements whilst providing general administrative assistance whilst monitoring and managing staff leave entitlements to ensure accrued leave is cleared within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with relevant awards, agreements and Departmental policy. The successful applicant will manage staff performance in accordance with the Public Sector Performance Management Standard and Departmental policy.
