The WA Museum is seeking expressions of interest from talented and enthusiastic professionals who are interested in being considered for future temporary, fixed-term, casual and project-based opportunities across the Directorate Engagement team.
The Directorate Engagement plays a leading role in connecting people with Western Australia's stories, cultures, science, history and creativity. Our teams develop and deliver major international exhibitions, public programs, learning experiences, events, communications, marketing campaigns and visitor experiences that inspire curiosity and learning across the State.
This Talent Register provides an opportunity for individuals with relevant skills and experience to register their interest in joining one of Australia's most dynamic cultural organisations.

Positions may become available at a range of classification levels, typically equivalent to Levels 2 to 5, and may be offered on a casual, part time, full time or fixed term basis. Some temporary assignments may be filled through approved recruitment and labour hire agencies engaged by the WA Museum. Registration on this Talent Register does not constitute registration with those agencies, and applicants may need to complete a separate agency recruitment process.

About the role areas
We welcome applications from people with experience in one or more of the following role areas:
Exhibition and Project Management
Exhibition and Project Management roles are responsible for coordinating and delivering major exhibitions, engagement initiatives and strategic projects across the WA Museum. Working with internal and external stakeholders, these positions support project planning, governance, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, risk management and reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. These roles contribute to the development of internationally significant exhibitions and experiences that connect audiences with stories of local, national and global significance.
Learning and Engagement
Learning and Engagement roles develop and deliver innovative education programs, public activities, community engagement initiatives and audience experiences across the WA Museum. Working collaboratively with curators, educators, cultural advisors and community partners, these roles create opportunities for visitors of all ages to engage with the Museum's collections, exhibitions and stories. Successful applicants will be passionate about audience engagement, learning outcomes and creating inclusive and accessible experiences.
Events and Public Programs
Events and Public Programs roles are responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of public events, festivals, activations, talks, workshops, launches and community programs. These positions work closely with internal teams, external partners, presenters, sponsors and suppliers to deliver high quality experiences that enhance audience engagement and support the Museum's strategic objectives. These roles require strong project coordination, stakeholder management and event delivery skills.
Marketing and Communications
Marketing and Communications roles contribute to promoting the WA Museum's exhibitions, programs, collections and experiences through strategic marketing, media, communications and digital engagement activities. These positions develop and implement campaigns, create engaging content, manage stakeholder communications, support media opportunities and build audience awareness and participation across the Museum's network. Successful applicants will possess excellent communication skills and experience in marketing, media, public relations, digital communications or audience development.
Exhibition Installation and Logistics
Exhibition Installation and Logistics roles support the physical delivery of exhibitions and visitor experiences across the WA Museum's network of sites. These positions coordinate exhibition builds, object movements, freight logistics, contractors, installation schedules, equipment procurement and operational requirements to ensure exhibitions are presented safely and professionally. Working closely with exhibition, design, collections and operations teams, these roles play a critical part in bringing exhibitions and experiences to life for visitors.
Administration and Executive Support
Administration and Executive Support roles provide high quality administrative, operational and executive assistance across the Directorate Engagement. These positions are responsible for coordinating calendars, meetings, correspondence, procurement, financial administration, records management and stakeholder communications, while ensuring the efficient delivery of projects, programs and day to day operations. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
