We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistant for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Suitable applicants would assist teaching staff in the delivery of planned education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You would provide feedback when required on education and therapy programs and participate in the evaluation process relating to student progress. The ability to assist with the general health and wellbeing of students is highly desirable.

We value applicants who possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which would be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will ideally be compassionate and able to work collaboratively to implement documented plans.

As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will ideally participate in professional learning opportunities to further build your skills and knowledge. In joining our dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff, you should be willing to contribute and work as part of this team and display a commitment to working collaboratively and building positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. You will ideally be versatile with the ability to work well under pressure and as a team player

    • Demonstrated good organisational skills that will assist in the delivery and development of effective education programs to students
    • Demonstrated ability to assist teachers in implementing educational programs

    • Demonstrated ability to assist with general health and well-being of students
