The Role
As an Special Needs Education Assistant you will form part of our dedicated team of staff working with students with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and other mental health and developmental disabilities and/or disorders. In this role you would collaborate with the classroom teacher to assist in the planning and delivery of educational programs to support the learning and development of students with additional needs. Our staff should have high expectations and truly believe that all students can learn and be successful. At North Parmelia PS, you would embrace evidence-based strategies across the school to meet the needs of students.
Effective relationships and partnerships which promote positive outcomes for students are central to everything we do. We are a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school and our values underpin all that we do.
