The Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Mainstream Education Assistant to join our early childhood team. Working collaboratively with teachers, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and participation in classroom activities, helping to create a positive and nurturing environment where all students can thrive.
The successful applicant will work alongside early childhood teachers to support the preparation, delivery and evaluation of engaging, developmentally appropriate learning programs. This will include supporting individual children and small groups, facilitating play-based learning experiences, encouraging curiosity and exploration, and helping children develop their social, emotional, physical and communication skills. A strong focus on fostering independence, confidence and positive relationships will be central to the role.
At Kulin DHS, we value strong relationships, teamwork and a shared commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education. The ideal applicant will ideally display effective communication and interpersonal skills, a flexible and collaborative approach, and the ability to work positively alongside teachers and other support staff.
We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to use their initiative in supporting daily routines, preparing learning resources and maintaining an organised, engaging and safe environment. The successful applicant will ideally recognise the importance of play-based learning, positive interactions and responsive care in supporting each child's individual learning journey.
If you are a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about giving young children the best possible start to their educational journey, we would love you to join the Kulin DHS team and make a meaningful contribution to our supportive and welcoming early childhood learning environment.
