We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistants – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during Term 1 and Term 2 of the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Port Hedland Primary School (PS) offers a welcoming, team-oriented environment where teachers at every career stage are empowered to succeed. Our strong induction and mentoring programs build confidence and connection. Staff work in cohesive professional learning teams, sharing expertise and encouraging one another. Join a community that values collaboration and strong family partnerships. Our students enjoy diverse opportunities to develop academically, socially and personally, guided by dedicated teachers and school staff working closely with parents and carers.

We value strong partnerships with parents and carers, fostering positive relationships that enrich our school community and student learning. Our dedicated and proactive School Board and Parents and Carers further strengthen our vibrant and connected school community.

The Role

Join our team as an Education Assistant Mainstream and play a vital role in shaping the lives of students. Mainstream Education Assistants support our teachers in delivering planned education programs and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This is an opportunity to make a real cultural impact in the lives of students and to develop your own skills and autonomy in a supportive environment.

Suitable applicants will ideally be responsible for assisting teachers in delivering planned education programs, including the operation of computers and implementing individual or small group programs or demonstrations. You may also help maintain the learning environment by keeping equipment, materials, and resources organised and ready for use in classes and activities, and by helping to keep the classroom clean and safe. This role will provide you with the opportunity to play a positive impact in the lives of students and to develop your own skills and autonomy in a supportive environment.
