We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

High Wycombe Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School which was opened in 1961 on Whadjuk country. Our school is set in attractive and well-maintained grounds with considerable areas for students to learn and play. High Wycombe PS's moral purpose is Commitment to Growth.

The school vision is: At High Wycombe PS, we are strong, caring and inclusive. We learn, grow and succeed together with the support of our families, teachers, and school community.

The school is focused on delivering high impact, low variation teaching in every classroom. Reading intervention programs provide further support to students. Staff are provided with professional learning and support opportunities to build capacity for high-quality teaching. The school is creating the conditions for learning where student wellbeing and engagement is nurtured. As a WA Positive Behaviour Support school, behaviour expectations are identified, taught and reinforced. The expectations at High Wycombe PS are: Give your personal best; Respect; Our safety; and We are responsible and resilient (GROW). This is aligned to the school's commitment to growth.

The Role

Suitable applicants should ideally display the ability to communicate effectively, be able to assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs and under teacher direction, implement individual or small group lessons. Suitable applicants should be organised and use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.

The ability to cater to the diverse learning needs of students, together with a dynamic and highly collaborative approach, is essential to meeting the needs of all learners. In addition, the ability to model, develop, and implement exemplary and innovative classroom practices is vital to this role.

Flexibility, openness to change, and a commitment to our school's moral purpose are highly valued. We value staff who are creative in their use of resources and strategies and can do so independently or in response to direction from teachers. An ability to work effectively with different staff members, teaching styles, and learning activities, while displaying initiative, is highly desirable.
