The Role
As an Education Assistant – Lead, you will ideally work closely with the Curriculum Support Manager to lead, provide guidance, mentoring and practical support to other Education Assistants. The successful applicant should contribute to delivering the worksite induction and training of other Education Assistants, model effective practice and support professional growth through classroom observation, feedback and performance management of Education Assistants.
The role also includes working collaboratively with teachers, families, School Psychologists and other relevant professionals to support the development and implementation of documented student plans. Experience contributing to positive behaviour strategies, case management and practical classroom supports that strengthen student engagement and educational outcomes would be highly regarded.
Our primary focus is to develop a safe, supportive learning environment where students can maximise their opportunities to meet their educational goals and reach their individual potential. A solutions-focused and student-centred approach is highly valued, along with the ability to work collaboratively with Education Assistants and teachers to support high-quality learning programs. The role may also include supporting students in off-site settings and providing supervision without the presence of a teacher where appropriate.
