The Role
The Director Training Sector Services leads the delivery of services that support TAFE colleges, the Department and Western Australia’s training sector, with a focus on effective service delivery and continuous improvement.
As a member of the Training Sector Services and Capability leadership team, the Director contributes to the division’s direction, priorities and performance and works closely with TAFE colleges, the Department and other stakeholders to respond to sector needs and government priorities.
The Director provides advice on matters within the branch’s responsibilities and is accountable for its planning, performance and management of human, financial and other resources.
The Director leads and develops staff, manages change and builds a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- have substantial experience leading complex service delivery functions;
- be able to lead and develop people, manage change and deliver results;
- have a strong focus on improving services and responding to customer and stakeholder needs;
- build effective relationships and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries;
- exercise sound judgement and provide clear advice on complex operational matters; and
- understand the vocational education and training environment or be able to quickly develop that understanding.
