About the job

1 x 12 month Fixed-Term opportunity with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Lotterywest's Legal Services team is seeking an experienced legal professional to provide additional support and assist in managing the team's diverse workload and legal matters.

Reporting within the Corporate Services portfolio, this role is responsible for delivering strategic and operational legal advice across the organisation, including to the General Manager Corporate Services, Chief Executive Officer and Board. You will play a key role in supporting business decisions, managing legal risk and ensuring compliance with legislative and governance requirements.

We’re looking for

  • Bachelor of Laws qualification and a current Australian practising certificate.
  • Strong legal expertise with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make independent decisions on complex and sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated experience providing practical, commercially focused and high-quality legal advice.
  • High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
