The Role
Cannington Community College is seeking an energetic, relational and innovative leader to join our Executive Team as Deputy Principal. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a College that is building on a significant period of improvement and is well positioned for its next phase of growth.
As the College’s sole Secondary Deputy Principal, the successful applicant will play a significant whole-school leadership role in a dynamic and evolving environment. They will work closely with a strong team of five substantive middle leaders, supported by an experienced school officer who provides dedicated operational support. This structure provides the Deputy Principal with both the responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to build leadership capacity, strengthen consistency and ensure that strategic priorities are translated effectively into classroom practice.
A key focus is curriculum leadership and the development of our middle leaders. Following a highly successful Public School Review, which celebrated our strong leadership, inclusive culture and community partnerships, the College is ready to further consolidate its improvement journey through consistency in curriculum, pedagogy and support for teaching and learning. We are committed to ensuring that every classroom and every teacher is supported to provide our students with the best possible opportunities for success – academically, socially and emotionally.

Our Executive Team is distinctive in its collaborative approach, and the successful applicant will work closely with the Deputy Principal – Primary and College Principal to strengthen continuity, consistency and shared leadership across the College.
