We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principal’s for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
The Deputy Principal will provide educational and instructional leadership across the school, with a particular focus on curriculum implementation and the continued development of high-quality, evidence-based teaching practices. Working collaboratively with the Principal and leadership team, the Deputy Principal will promote the school’s vision, Business Plan and strategic priorities and contribute to a culture of trust, excellence and continuous improvement.
Suitable applicants should display strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and experience in supporting teachers to implement evidence-based, high-impact teaching practices aligned with the Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact. They should work collaboratively with the Principal and leadership team to strengthen consistent whole-school approaches to teaching and learning and support the effective implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum.
They would also support curriculum continuity from Kindergarten to Year 6, including developmentally appropriate early years practice aligned with the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and the Early Years Learning Framework, including play-based learning.
Experience working in a school undertaking or consolidating an explicit teaching journey will be highly regarded. Professional learning through Shaping Minds, TeachWell or comparable evidence-based programs aligned with Teaching for Impact will also be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants will ideally be a highly relational and collaborative leader with high-level interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to build trust, influence practice and lead sustainable change. They should foster high expectations, collective efficacy, shared responsibility and professional accountability.
The Deputy Principal role may be required to undertake a 0.2 teaching load each week.
