We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Attadale PS is ideally seeking experienced and collaborative educators to contribute to the school’s leadership team. Suitable applicants applicant should display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience coaching, mentoring and guiding staff and students. Experience working collaboratively with staff and families to support student behaviour and wellbeing through positive, educative and restorative approaches is highly regarded, along with the ability to coordinate operational projects.
Suitable applicants should bring strong curriculum knowledge and experience contributing to continuous school improvement and high-quality teaching and learning. A sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, contemporary evidence-informed practices and experience supporting staff development are also highly desirable.
Experience or knowledge across any of the following areas would be highly regarded:
- High-quality teaching practices aligned with the Department of Education’s Teaching for Impact statement and resources
- Explicit teaching practices and instructional improvement
- Supporting Students at Educational Risk (SAER), including working with families and external providers
- Curriculum development and implementation
- Culturally responsive practices and learning environments
- Whole-school approaches to assessment, review and improvement
- Positive, values-based approaches to student behaviour and classroom management
- Student wellbeing and whole-school wellbeing initiatives
- Community engagement and communication
- Supporting the effective use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), including Bring Your Own Device programs
- Contemporary Early Childhood Education practices aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework
- National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) Online
- Academic extension and enrichment.
