Yanchep Beach Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School located approximately 60 kilometres north of Perth, catering for just over 600 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Since opening in 2014 with 319 students, the school has grown into a vibrant and diverse community within one of Western Australia’s fastest growing regions.
At Yanchep Beach PS, we inspire to grow lifelong learners who feel safe and hopeful for their futures. We value the wellbeing and progress of our students, staff and school community, and are committed to supporting every student to thrive. We foster respectful, responsible and positive learners while building the self-belief they need to embrace challenge, aspire and shape their futures.
Our families have strong aspirations for their children and value connection, belonging and opportunities to contribute to school life. We aspire to being an inclusive and high-performing school where students, staff and families feel safe, valued and connected. The Role
We are seeking experienced and aspiring educational leaders to join our Deputy Principal Pool, with opportunities arising throughout the year.
Deputy Principals are key members of the school leadership team, working closely with the Principal, other Deputy Principals and staff to provide strategic and operational leadership.
The Deputy Principal oversees one of three strategic areas:
- Teaching and Learning: Curriculum, pedagogy, instructional improvement and staff development.
- Assessment and Data: Whole-school assessment, data analysis, intervention and evidence-informed improvement.
- Student Services: Student wellbeing, behaviour, inclusion, engagement and support.
While each Deputy Principal has a defined portfolio, our leadership approach is highly collaborative. Leaders work together to solve problems, support staff, drive improvement and ensure consistency across the school.
We are looking for applicants who bring strong knowledge and experience, outstanding interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving. Suitable applicants should ideally be positive, approachable and solutions-focused, with the ability to build genuine and respectful relationships with staff, students and families.
We value leaders who can think strategically while remaining connected to the day-to-day experiences of students and staff. A commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, student wellbeing, inclusive practice, evidence-informed decision making and continuous improvement is essential.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a school with strong foundations and significant potential, and to help shape the next phase of Yanchep Beach PS’s development.
This process will establish a pool of suitable applicants for Deputy Principal opportunities that arise throughout the year. It is anticipated that multiple opportunities will be offered across various portfolios through the year.
