Your Role. Your Impact.

Step into the world of the Standards Monitoring Unit (SMU), where your work is more than just a job.

The SMU assess whether the services provided (specifically the care by Communities) are meeting the Better Care Better Services standards. Services include all Communities owned and operated residential facilities such as Residential Group Homes, and all out of home care programs for children in the care of the CEO run by Communities funded community service organisations.

SMU also monitor District Office activities through site visits to view documentation and talk with staff, carers, children, and their families.

SMU identifies excellence in service provision and highlights and monitors required actions and opportunities for service improvement

As a Data and Evaluation Analyst in the SMU team you will undertake research, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, evaluate results and prepare reports, submissions and other relevant documents.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of reports and submissions as directed.
  • Providing support to the SMU in relation to evaluation matters.
  • Assisting the SMU in defining evaluation needs and accessing independent evaluation services.
