East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) is seeking an experienced and innovative nursing leader to join our Director of Nursing and Midwifery Division as the Coordinator of Nursing & Midwifery - Workforce.
About the Role
The role provides executive level support and intelligence across EMHS including Royal Perth Bentley Mount Lawley Group (RPBMLG) with responsibility for nursing/midwifery professional, operational and performance initiatives. The position holder under the direction of the Nursing Director - Nursing and Midwifery Workforce, will coordinate and manage workforce related intelligence and activities in accordance with the policies, objectives and values of RPBMLG and the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS)
- Provide expert workforce intelligence to support executive and management decision-making.
- Deliver advice on workforce planning, industrial workload management methodologies and performance improvement.
- Coordinate nursing and midwifery workforce governance reporting and key performance indicators.
- Drive workforce-related projects, quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
- Build strong partnerships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Support strategic workforce planning to meet evolving healthcare needs.

Area Profile
The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) provides services to more than 828,000 Western Australians through a network of hospitals and community services.
Our hospital network works together to provide a combination of tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgical specialty services, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation, and women, children and neonates services.
The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Mt Lawley Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.
This position sits within Royal Perth Bentley Mount Lawley Group and supports nursing and midwifery workforce strategy across EMHS.
