About Our Team:

The Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (ICAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges.

This role supports the planning, coordination and delivery of evidence-informed group-based mental health interventions for children, adolescents and families across ICAMHS. Working collaboratively with clinicians, service leaders and stakeholders, the team promotes quality, consistency, safety and equitable access to group interventions across metropolitan ICAMHS services.

About the Role:

As the Coordinator Mental Health Group Interventions, you will provide clinical leadership, coordination and workforce support to ensure the effective delivery of evidence-informed group interventions across ICAMHS. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of group-based mental health interventions, while promoting quality, consistency and equitable access to services for children, adolescents and families.

As part of the team, you will:

• Coordinate the planning, implementation and ongoing delivery of group interventions across ICAMHS.
• Develop and maintain a coordinated schedule of group interventions to support equitable access and efficient service delivery.
• Provide advanced clinical consultation and guidance regarding group intervention planning, screening, intake and facilitation processes.
• Support multidisciplinary clinicians delivering group interventions through consultation, collaboration and clinical leadership.
• Monitor service activity, demand, attendance and outcomes to inform service planning and improvement initiatives.
• Deliver evidence-informed group interventions for children, young people and families as required.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote consistency and fidelity of evidence-informed group interventions across ICAMHS.

You will also be involved in:

• Workforce development, education and training initiatives related to group intervention delivery.
• Building clinician capability through supervision, consultation and professional development opportunities.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of group interventions through outcome measures, consumer feedback, audits and quality activities.
• Supporting research, evaluation and innovation activities that enhance clinical practice and service delivery.
• Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to improve access to group-based mental health services.
• Promoting best practice, continuous improvement and evidence-informed care across ICAMHS.

  • Able to travel to CAMHS locations as required

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
