We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Byford Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School and is located in an area of growth. It has retained the ‘country’ feel and the community is very supportive and involved in the school. Byford PS has a Community Kindergarten attached, the school has a shared leadership structure and there is a focus on developing leaders and highly competent teachers in the school.

The town of Byford is ten kilometres south of Armadale on the South Western Highway and is located in a semi-rural urban community in the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale. The shire is currently experiencing a population growth resulting in a range of socio-economic groups. Byford school students are respectful, eager to learn, friendly and cooperative, concerned for others and keen to succeed.

Suitable applicants should clearly display how their instructional strategies and student engagement approaches have positively impacted student achievement.

At Byford PS, we value a strong, supportive, and collaborative culture where every student feels safe, valued, and supported to succeed. Byford PS implement explicit instruction lessons with focus on Daily Review with High Engagement Expectations.
