This is Permanent Full Time appointment for 76 hours per fortnight.

Please note: Effective from 01/07 the salary range will increase to $141,071 - $145,918 per annum.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

We are currently seeking a Coordinator Occupational Therapist to join our team.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Coordinator Occupational Therapist provides high quality specialised Occupational Therapy Services using extensive knowledge and a specialised level of practice skills, to a diverse and complex caseload on Ward 2A in the State Rehabilitation Service, overseeing amputee rehabilitation, Mult diagnostic trauma and a mixed caseload involving spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury and neurological rehabilitation patients.
This role works alongside the other P3 OT Coordinators in the State Rehabilitation Service.
This role will apply specialised level of clinical knowledge, will negotiate and collaborate with Occupational Therapy Department Head and Deputy Head of Department and relevant stakeholders to support clinical service planning and delivery.

Other aspects of this position will include the ideal candidate to carry out the following duties:

  • Provides a specialised level of Occupational Therapy advice in the management of patients to other senior medical, nursing and allied health staff at FSH and externally.
  • Works autonomously and provides a specialised level of consultancy services in line with current evidence, to other clinical specialties and statewide.
  • Manages staff within cluster, including planned / unplanned leave, performance development and management.
  • Drives clinical research and service development in relevant clinical area.
