The Marble Bar Nursing Post is a nurse-led healthcare facility providing essential primary health care and emergency services to the local community, surrounding remote areas, and travellers throughout the East Pilbara region. Staffed by experienced remote area nurses and supported through links to the Emergency Telehealth Service, the clinic delivers a broad scope of practice in a dynamic and professionally rewarding environment.

Suitability Criteria

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description

Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

• Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with broad nursing experience and recent accident and emergency nursing skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of Primary Health Care principles and the ability to deliver culturally responsive care within remote, Aboriginal and cross-cultural community settings.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, exercising sound clinical judgement, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, communities and stakeholders.
• Pharmacology competency, or a willingness to work towards competency, together with an understanding of relevant legislative requirements relating to workplace safety, equity and service delivery.
