WA Country Health Service

We currently have permanent appointments available within the Infant, Child, Adolescent Mental Health Services – Acute Care Response Team (ACRT). Fixed Term appointments may be considered.

Position Profile: Provides a community based infant, child and adolescent mental health nursing service. Co-ordinates referrals & contacts for children and adolescents and their families via rostered duty officer role. Conducts comprehensive mental health and risk assessments. Provides case management to complex clients. Provides information and support to clients & families, and liaison with other agencies as required. This position supports the Acute Care Response Team (ACRT), which operates as a 7-day community-based service. This position participates in a roster across Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays. Shift times may vary in accordance with service demand and operational requirements.

1 - Specialist Mental Health Clinical Practice

Demonstrated ability to provide advanced specialist mental health assessment, risk management and case management for infants, children, adolescents and families experiencing complex or acute mental health concerns, using sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice to support safe and effective outcomes.

Highly developed communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with young people, families, multidisciplinary teams and external service providers to achieve coordinated, person-centred care outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to work within legislative, regulatory and professional frameworks, applying the Mental Health Act and relevant governance requirements to support safe, ethical, inclusive and culturally responsive service delivery.

5 - Operational Agility and Community Service Delivery

Demonstrated flexibility, resilience and commitment to delivering community-based mental health services in a dynamic environment, including responding to changing service priorities, working across geographical locations and participating in a 7-day roster in accordance with operational requirements.
