About the Opportunity

EMHS is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse with experience coordinating clinical trials in a healthcare setting. The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of clinical trial operations, ICH-GCP, research governance and relevant regulatory requirements. As part of the Clinical Trials WA Network, this pivotal role will support EMHS commitments under the WA Clinical Trials Roadmap by assisting with clinical trials start-up and implementation across multiple service departments, strengthening collaboration, and expanding access to high-quality clinical trials for patients and clinicians.

This is a fixed term full-time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight for 2.5 years with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other similar vacancies within EMHS. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Suitability Criteria

• Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of research methodology, ethical considerations in the conduct of research, and experience in clinical trials.
• Demonstrated high level communication skills, including teaching, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated computing skills including proficiency with the use of databases and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience with current local and national research governance systems.
