An exciting opportunity is available to join the Paediatric Benign Haematology Service at Perth Children’s Hospital as a Clinical Nurse. This 0.4 FTE fixed-term part-time position at 30.4 hours per fortnight is for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. 

Position Profile: The position will have a particular focus on the care and coordination of children and young people with bone marrow failure syndromes.

Working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert, family-centred nursing care, education, advocacy and care coordination across the patient journey. The role offers an opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in paediatric haematology while building meaningful, ongoing relationships with children, young people and their families.

We are seeking an experienced paediatric nurse who is compassionate, clinically curious and collaborative, with a strong commitment to caring for children with complex health needs. Experience in paediatric haematology is highly desirable, along with an interest in developing specialist knowledge within the bone marrow failure cohort.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a dedicated service for children and families affected by bone marrow failure, while developing your own specialist clinical expertise.

Demonstrated clinical experience within paediatric haematology, oncology and/or bone marrow transplantation services is highly desirable given the specialised nature of the patient cohort and the complexity of care coordination required.
