This is a permanent, full time vacancy.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual that is ready to take the next step in their career. The Associate Coordinator provides operational guidance and development for new and existing staff and liaises with the Manager and Team Leaders regarding daily operations and future strategic planning.
Some role specific responsibilities include:
- Provide support to the Team Leaders and staff by undertaking training needs analysis to assist with the development and skilling of judicial support staff.
- Contribute towards staff induction, training and mentoring of new team members.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of business improvements and change processes.
- Attend in court as a Judicial Support Officer, prepare and check court documentation to ensure hearings and trials are conducted efficiently.
- Provide procedural advice to both staff and customers.
- Ensure Court protocols are followed in accordance with identified standards.
Suitability Requirements
Through the recruitment process, we will be looking for a candidate who can demonstrate skills, experience and attributes in relation to the following:
Leadership and Team Support
Able to provide guidance, training and support to team members, contribute to staff development, and work collaboratively with leaders to coordinate daily operations and achieve team objectives.
Judicial and Administrative Service Delivery
Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, timely and high-quality administrative support in a complex environment, including managing competing priorities, maintaining records, and contributing to quality assurance and compliance processes.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, build productive relationships and engage professionally with judicial officers, legal practitioners, court users and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Judgment, Accuracy and Continuous Improvement
Demonstrated ability to analyse information, identify risks and issues, exercise sound judgement, maintain accuracy and confidentiality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Shapes and Manages Strategy
The ability to:
- Understand reasons for decisions and how they are related to their work.
- Understand the work environment, identify issues that may impact achievement and contribute to team planning.
- Draw on information from a range of sources and to use common sense to analyse what information is important, anticipate issues that could impact on tasks and identify risks and uncertainties in procedures and tasks are all important for this role.

Knowledge of, or experience in court practices and procedures.

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
