About The Role:

The Assistant Director Financial Modelling and Compliance leads the planning, financial modelling and implementation of whole-of-government office accommodation relocation proposals and ensures the management of the portfolio is optimised to deliver whole-of-government outcomes.  The role is also responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of initiatives to achieve portfolio objectives, including adherence to the Government Office Accommodation (GOA) Policy and Standards.

About You:

You are an accomplished leader who brings strong strategic thinking, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to achieving whole of government outcomes. You lead with authenticity and confidence, build capability and create a culture grounded in empathy, clarity, accountability and respect.

You are a clear and compelling communicator, with the ability to turn complex information and financial analysis into concise, accurate and tailored advice. You understand the value of high-quality written communication and can present information in a way that is clear, meaningful and supports sound decision-making.

You build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and are confident engaging on complex or sensitive matters. You can challenge ideas and influence outcomes while maintaining professionalism, respect and strong working relationships.

You are analytical, solutions-focused and comfortable balancing competing priorities. You identify risks and opportunities, develop practical solutions and are committed to continuous improvement. You will bring leadership and capability to contribute to the delivery of government office accommodation initiatives that optimise and support key government priorities.

This position operates in the context of Leading Others. This means that you will motivate and enable others to deliver high quality work. You will balance time between doing the work and coaching, guiding and developing others. This requires a significant shift in thinking from ‘doing’ to supporting others to ‘do good work’; and consideration of present and future needs when allocating time to the team and projects you lead. You will articulate how work is to be done, providing clear direction and feedback.

How to Apply:

If you have what it takes to be part of our dynamic and forward-thinking team, submit the following in MS Word or PDF format only:

  1. A comprehensive CV that shows your skills, experiences and key achievements, including the contact details of two referees (with one being your current or most recent supervisor).
  1. Cover letter of two (2) pages or less, outlining how you meet the essential requirements of the role and demonstrate leadership behaviours.

Please ensure you apply before the closing deadline as we won’t accept late and incomplete applications.
