The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher who is passionate about creating engaging, inclusive and challenging learning environments. This role includes teaching HPE across Years 7 to 12, with the ability to teach Senior School, including Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), General and Certificate courses, highly regarded. As a HPE teacher at Ridge View SC, you will deliver programs aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum, using a range of strategies to support all students to achieve their personal best.
Guided by our values of We Are Family, We All Matter and I Can Be a Champion, you will foster a positive and inclusive environment where students are supported to develop their physical, social and emotional wellbeing. You should display a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, maintaining high expectations for all students and using data, reflection and instructional coaching processes to continually improve your practice. The ability to contribute to another Learning Area may also be viewed positively.
The successful applicant will ideally bring strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, working collaboratively to promote the College’s values and priorities. You should build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community, while maintaining consistent behaviour expectations and a proactive approach to student engagement.
