This is a permanent full-time position commencing April 2026

Education Regional Offices play a key role in supporting public schools, students, and the wider community by providing access to information on local schooling options, specialist programs, and support services. These services include school psychology, behaviour support centres, home education guidance, and processes for reporting and addressing student non-attendance.

The branch works collaboratively with schools and stakeholders to ensure students receive the appropriate support to enhance engagement, wellbeing, and educational outcomes. It also acts as a central point of contact for families and the community, facilitating access to services and ensuring consistent delivery of departmental priorities at a regional level.

The Role

The role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Regional Office, ensuring the efficient coordination of day-to-day operations. This includes preparing and distributing correspondence, agendas, and meeting minutes, as well as following up on action items to support effective outcomes. The position also manages incoming communications, including telephone enquiries, visitor interactions, and diary and meeting coordination.

A key responsibility of the role is maintaining accurate and organised records, including managing correspondence filing systems for corporate information, projects, initiatives, and committee activities. The role also undertakes routine and less complex tasks by conducting basic research, drafting responses, and preparing reports to support business functions.

In addition, the role supports operational and financial processes, including coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining the asset register, and ensuring adequate office supplies. It also contributes to financial administration by assisting with budget preparation, processing payments, reconciling credit cards, monitoring expenditure, and preparing financial reports.
