About the Office of the Director General

The Office of the Director General team provides strategic portfolio coordination and communication of key strategic issues across Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport and between multiple Ministers’ offices. It supports the Director General by providing confidential, efficient and effective administrative executive leadership and strategic advice.   

About the role

We are looking for a motivated solutions focused individual with outstanding relationship management skills to lead the Office of the Director General. As a key advisor to the Director General and corporate executive this role provides strategic coordination and guidance, managing critical tasks and focus areas to achieve strategic objectives.  

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Substantial experience leading executive services with a strong ability to foster a customer-focussed team culture through collaboration.
  • Proven strategic leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence, and effectively apply expertise and resources to drive quality outcomes.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in complex, fast-paced environments with calm, confidence, and sound judgment.
  • Highly developed effective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders.

We have one permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) position available.
