About the role
The Cleaning team is responsible for providing a high standard cleaning service to the WA Museum Boola Bardip including the galleries, toilets, common areas and office spaces, and performing other cleaning-related tasks as required. The role involves the use of a variety of industrial and commercial cleaning equipment/ machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
A normal ‘morning shift’ is 5 hours with a 5:00am start, and a ‘day shift’ can be up to 7.5 hours duration.

The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Effectively clean designated areas within the Museum using commercial-grade cleaning agents and products, and industrial cleaning equipment/machinery.
- Work effectively as part of a team, and with minimal supervision.
- Have good timekeeping and the ability to work to timeframes.
- Perform duties as directed by the responsible Manager, and follow instructions and guidelines within the Cleaning Team framework.
- Prioritize safe working practices, following legislative guidelines and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Special Conditions
- Normal working hours may be a 5:00am start; and include weekends and public holidays where penalty rates will apply as per the Award/Agreement.
- A pre-employment Medical Check will be required prior to commencement of employment.
