The Corporate Services team includes human resources, procurement, payroll, business operations and digital and technology services. It helps the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to reach its mission to enable dynamic and inclusive communities and support the WA economy through effective regulation and the facilitation of outstanding sporting and cultural experiences and opportunities

About the role

Are you a highly organised individual with great attention to detail? Are you able to apply administrative contract knowledge within an ICT environment?

Join our team as a Contract and Procurement Officer, where you will play a critical role in administering ICT contracts within our Digital and Technology Services team. We have one permanent, full time (75 hrs p/f) position available.

As Contracts and Procurement Officer, you will accurately draft ICT contracts, working closely with business area’s to ensure effective resource management, compliance, planning and expenditure that aligns with public sector and DLGSC’s procurement and ICT functions.

This role is largely administrative, with duties inclusive of requesting quotes, tenders, invoices and purchase orders, preparing appropriate documentation to meet compliance standards, assist with reporting on performance and contractual obligations, and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally to perform the duties effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing contract documentation, including requests for quote and tender, and administering and managing contracts.
  • Sound analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies in contract and financial records.
  • Proven administrative support capabilities, with proficient recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills with the capability to adapt to target audiences and build productive relationships.
