About the division

The Culture and the Arts team supports a thriving WA arts and cultural sector and promotes participation and achievement in culture and the arts. The team works to highlight the social and economic benefits to the community from the creation of, and engagement in, high-quality arts experiences, including increased wellbeing and connection. We support these activities through grants and investment programs, research and policy development. Through recognising the importance of sharing Western Australia’s unique stories and cultures, including those of First Nations peoples, we make our communities richer, more vibrant and more engaged.   

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our Sector Investment and Development team, dedicated to supporting the growth of arts, culture, and creative industries across Western Australia. This role plays a key part in driving investment in the creative sector, particularly through the Department's arts grants funding programs.

In this role you will:

• Collaborate in delivering arts and culture development programs, supporting both regional and community initiatives.
• Promote and implement investment policies, ensuring access to vital funding opportunities.
• Evaluate grant applications and provide expert advice on funding requests.
• Serve as the primary contact for arts, culture, and creative industries funding information.
• Liaise with government agencies, the private sector, and community organizations to drive the sector’s success.
