About the role
This is your opportunity to join a collaborative and dynamic finance team and support DLGSC and it’s satellite agencies.
DLGSC is seeking to establish a pool of Senior Financial Officers and Management Accountants for appointment to permanent, fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies for present and future vacancies. We currently have two permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) position available.
Senior Financial Officer
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Department's financial statements and other statutory reporting requirements.
Your duties will include (but are not limited too):
- Assist with completing month end processes and maintaining integrity of financial data
- Prepare accruals, reconciliations and monthly reports
- The use of data analytics tools to enhance internal controls
Management Account
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with a range of internal and external financial reporting obligation within DLGSC to support effective budget management practises.
Your duties will include (but are not limited too):
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual Budget Statements and Estimate notes
- Maintain budget ledgers in the finance system
- Prepare internal and external reports for various audience such as DLGSC’s Corporate Executives and other Government agencies
- Maintain the Departments financial and non-financial information across various systems and stakeholders
We are looking for people with a demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, is highly organised and works well in a collaborative team environment.
Those with or working towards a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting of finance are strongly encouraged to apply.
