We are seeking to establish a pool of Multi-Disciplinary Conductors (Conductive Education) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Carson Street is a Primary Education Support School catering for students whose disabilities require extensive therapy and educational services. Students typically have a wide variety of medical conditions.

The Role

Key responsibilities
- In collaboration with Conductors, design and supervise the in-class operations of Conductive Education group programs including observations, the preparation and implementation of appropriate complex programs, task series and daily routines to maximise outcomes for students with motor learning impairments and associated difficulties.
- Report regularly to Conductive Education Co-ordinator on the progress of students’ individual gross and fine motor development including carrying out observations, creating Individual education plans (IEP) physical targets, data collection, writing report comments and carrying out annual Gross Motor Function Measure collaboratively with Conductors.
- Contributes to collaborative processes with school-based colleagues, therapy providers, visiting teachers and parents in the development and promotion of conductive pedagogy.
- Provide support and/or hands on training to colleagues in how students access the curriculum and world around them within the framework of Conductive Education.
- Prepare and provide training to colleagues and parents in the theory and methodology of Conductive Education in collaboration with Conductors.
- In collaboration with Conductors, planning, preparing & delivering programs, evaluating and reporting against IEPs for 0-4 Early Intervention Parent and Child groups.
- In collaboration with Conductors, participate in Initial Assessment of new continuing education (CE) students (may include report writing).
