Appointment Pool
Quinns Rocks Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated, highly motivated Primary Teachers to teach through models of explicit best practice and be able to work Primary collaboratively, across a wide range of situations for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2025.
Quinns Rocks PS is a small Independent Public School located in the northern suburbs of Perth serving the local community since 1980, the school provides an atmosphere of a country school in the city. Quinns Rocks PS will be seeking to sustain and grow our reputation for excellence through quality teaching and learning programs. Familiarity with PLD Spelling and Origo Mathematics programs would be advantageous but not required however, suitable applicants must show the ability to adapt to current whole school Literacy and Numeracy programs

We are looking for applicants that can show a positive impact when teaching students and outstanding curriculum knowledge. Attributes of effective teaching will be required in suitable applicants with growth mindsets that fit our workforce management and business planning.
Suitable applicants will ideally be organised, explicit in their practice, employ excellent communication skills, have strength in building positive and productive relationships to improve student outcomes. Suitable applicants should have knowledge delivering differentiated programs to support literacy and numeracy approaches. Suitable applicants will apply their knowledge skills and experience to demonstrate, based on the supplied data, how they would adapt to demonstrate the schools improvement agenda.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
