Due to the operation of a Continuity of Care Model/Midwifery Group Practice, a flexible roster arrangement may operate with an annualised salary.  Based on similar arrangements operating elsewhere throughout Western Australia it is estimated the annualised salaries may be in the range of $85,600 to $112,600 (Midwife Level 1).

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Position Profile: Fiona Stanley Hospital is opening a Family Birthing Centre in 2019 and as part of the comprehensive orientation program you will be required to work in the Maternity Services for a minimum period of 12 weeks prior to your commencement in this position.

In this role you will provide continuity of midwifery care during antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum period as a member of a midwifery group practice within a low risk setting at the Family Birthing Centre. 

Area Profile: Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
