What is our Workshop Supervisor role?

Assists in developing an efficient and cost effective system of works and maintenance for all plant, equipment services, facilities and buildings on site by coordinating and supervising activities of staff and on-site contractors under control/supervision at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women.

Suitability requirements which may be assessed to determine suitability for this position:

• This is an on-site role that is essential for the day-to-day management, supervision, and coordination of KEMH Facilities Management (FM) trade staff. The successful applicant must be available on site to provide leadership, operational direction, and timely decision-making on critical maintenance and service issues. As such, this position is not suitable for remote or work-from-home arrangements.
• The role is primarily required during standard business hours. However, the incumbent may be required to provide support and guidance outside normal working hours in the event of emergencies, critical incidents, or urgent operational requirements.
• The position is responsible for coordinating and managing Facilities Management projects, working closely with trade staff, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organisational requirements.
