About the Role
VenuesWest has an exciting opportunity to join the organisation in the new role of Works Safety Coordinator. Reporting to the Chief Safety Officer and working across the Safety and Portfolio Management teams, the role supports the safe and consistent delivery of contractor activities across the VenuesWest portfolio.
The role partners with Facilities Management and Capital Works teams as well as operational stakeholders to support effective contractor management and safety practices throughout the work lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to mobilisation, delivery, monitoring, performance and close-out. This includes supporting planned and reactive maintenance, minor works, shutdowns, service contracts, capital projects and other contractor-led activities.
The position works closely with project managers, contract owners, work hosts, contractors, consultants and the Safety Team to ensure safety requirements are clearly defined, applied and integrated into maintenance and project delivery.
The role provides practical support to project managers, contract owners and work hosts, helping them identify contractor safety requirements, confirm readiness before work begins and follow up safety issues and actions through to close-out.
This is a permanent, full time opportunity. Flexible working arrangements will be discussed at interview. Whilst the position will be based at Perth High Performance Centre in Mount Claremont, mobility may be required between the portfolio of facilities.
