This is a Fixed Term Full-Time appointment for two years, supporting OPH sterilisation services trainee program. Looking for an opportunity to start your career in CSSD (Sterilisation Services) we are looking for novice CSSD staff - with no previous experience. Fixed Term appointments include the future possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
What is our Trainee Sterilisation Technician role?
This position undertakes sterilisation duties to achieve cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and surgical instruments/equipment for theatres, wards and various departments at Osborne Park Hospital in accordance to the Australian Standard AS 5369:2023 (Australia/New Zealand 4187: 2014) Sterilisation Standards, Hospital Infection Control and department Policy and Procedures.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service or the wider public service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
