The Team Leader GIS Assets Infrastructure and Analytics uses a proactive approach to anticipate change and embrace emerging technologies, ensuring the Department’s work is supported by effective geospatial systems, infrastructure, data and processes that enable informed decision making, support risk management and deliver geospatial solutions that meet the Department's objectives and stakeholder needs.
This role provides technical leadership, business analysis and strategic advice to support the delivery, development and continuous improvement of geospatial services and solutions across the Department.
This recruitment process is for a permanent full-time position; however, consideration may be given to applicants seeking part-time opportunities. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:
- Substantial experience and knowledge in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including enterprise geospatial environments and geospatial data management, preferably within an Esri GIS and FME environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading the development, implementation and support of geospatial systems, automation and application development using technologies such as ArcGIS, FME, Python or similar platforms.
- Substantial technical knowledge and experience in analysing business needs and developing innovative geospatial solutions that support strategic and operational outcomes.
- Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships, influence outcomes and provide strategic technical advice.
- Demonstrated experience leading staff, projects and work programs, including planning, prioritisation, mentoring and achievement of business outcomes.
- Demonstrate the behaviours within the Leading Others context as outlined below.
