The Opportunity:

This is a permanent opportunity.

The Team Leader Accommodation is responsible for leading the delivery of accommodation and fleet services across DWER's office locations, ensuring facilities, fleet assets, and related services operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with government requirements. As the organisation's key point of contact for accommodation and fleet matters, the role oversees accommodation maintenance, office fit-outs and upgrades, contractor performance, fleet operations, and service continuity, helping to ensure employees have access to well-managed and effective working environments.

Reporting to the Assistant Director Financial Operations and Administration, the position provides both strategic and operational leadership in the planning, management, and continuous improvement of accommodation and fleet services. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external agencies to coordinate projects and service delivery, while managing budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, procurement activities, and compliance obligations. The Team Leader Accommodation plays a key role in ensuring resources are utilised effectively, risks are appropriately managed, and services are delivered in line with legislative, governance, and organisational requirements.

Leading a team of five employees, this position is responsible for fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing work environment. The role contributes directly to organisational performance by identifying opportunities to improve services, optimise facilities and fleet operations, and support the evolving needs of the business. This is an influential leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing people leadership with operational delivery, while helping create safe, inclusive, and productive workplaces that support DWER's strategic objectives and values.
