We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Esperance Primary School (PS) staff are committed to a strong sense of culture that has been developed collaboratively based on a set of shared beliefs on teaching and learning.  Everything we do at Esperance PS is about children and doing what is best for them. As a school, we build on the foundation laid by Parents and Carers, and we encourage them to become actively involved in school life.

The staff of Esperance PS work tirelessly, and with overwhelming moral purpose, to ensure all children’s academic, social and emotional needs are considered, planned for and met. Our Tribes Agreements of Mutual Respect, Attentive Listening, Personal Best, Appreciations / No Put downs and Right to Participate drive our school values and allows our students to connect as a community and develop shared responsibility towards each other and our wider community.

Find out more about our school by visiting www.esperanceps.wa.edu.au or Schools Online.

The Role

We are actively seeking K-6 teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. As an Esperance PS teacher, you would promptly establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, set high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development.

Ideally, you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to delivering best practices. The capacity to excel in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued.

We highly value applicants who can leverage high-impact teaching strategies and showcase experience in designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs. An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is highly valued, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.

The Location and Community

Esperance lies on the South-East of Western Australia, some 730 kilometres from Perth. The town has won awards for its stunning natural environment and is one of Western Australia’s best kept tourist secrets. Discover more in the video below.
