We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Located on Menang boodja in Albany, Flinders Park Primary School (PS) is a welcoming and inclusive community guided by our moral purpose: Together we ensure every student belongs and achieves their personal best.
As we implement our 2026–2029 Business Plan, our priorities include improving reading outcomes, strengthening community partnerships, developing culturally responsive practices in all that we do and educating the whole child. Our Fogarty EDvance improvement journey has a strong focus on data-informed decision-making, disciplined dialogue, collaborative inquiry and monitoring the impact of teaching.
Our Positive Behaviour Support framework creates safe, respectful and inclusive learning environments where positive behaviours are explicitly taught, modelled and acknowledged. Guided by our values of Respect, Kindness and Responsibility, we support every student to flourish socially, emotionally and academically.
Professional growth is a priority at Flinders Park PS. Every teacher is supported through a comprehensive induction program, classroom observation and feedback cycles, and high-quality professional learning aligned with our school improvement priorities. Whether new to the profession or an experienced educator, staff are supported to continually refine their practice through instructional coaching or graduate support coaching.
Our distributed leadership model reflects our belief that the best schools are built through collaboration, shared purpose and teacher voice. Staff contribute actively to learning teams, working parties and improvement teams that advance our strategic priorities of Teaching and Learning Excellence, Safe and Supportive School, and Connected Community. These opportunities enable staff to contribute their strengths while developing their professional knowledge, skills and leadership capacity.

The Role
Flinders Park PS is seeking passionate, motivated and skilled educators to join our team. We are looking for educators who are committed to growing, learning and improving outcomes for every student.
Suitable applicants will ideally be committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through whole-school approaches, explicit teaching and quality instructional strategies.
We seek innovative and reflective teachers with strong knowledge of contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogy and the Western Australian Curriculum. Applicants will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning programs that meet the needs of all students. They will ideally display the capacity to implement our agreed instructional model, including high impact teaching strategies, engagement norms and consistent whole-school routines.
Applicants should be skilled in using student achievement data to identify learning needs, inform planning and evaluate progress. They will ideally work collaboratively through Professional Learning Communities, engage in disciplined dialogue, share effective practice and respond constructively to feedback.
A commitment to culturally responsive teaching and embedding Aboriginal histories, cultures, perspectives and connections to Country across the curriculum is highly desirable.
Developing positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and the wider community is central to the role. Applicants will contribute to safe, supportive and inclusive learning environments that promote student belonging, wellbeing, engagement and achievement.
