The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every student, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching, and instructional strategies.. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of PBS practices and Classroom Management Strategies (CMS).

High-level interpersonal skills are highly desirable, as the role involves working collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Familiarity with contemporary pedagogy and the use of HITS would also be beneficial in delivering effective, student-centred learning programs that meet a diverse range of needs.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an educator who is reflective, flexible, and committed to ongoing professional growth within a collaborative school community. Experience with neurodivergent students is highly regarded. This position will most likely be in the middle or upper primary years.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
