Waggrakine Primary School (PS) seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Do you believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in an inclusive and highly engaging learning environment?

Waggrakine PS is an independent public school located in Geraldton, 4 and a half hours north of Perth. We are situated on the coast with picturesque beaches and balmy weather year-round.

The school provides an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment where every student feels a strong sense of connection and belonging. With an Education Support Program onsite, which provides learning opportunities for students with a mild to moderate disability diagnosis, we are looking for both mainstream staff and teachers interested in being part of the Education Support Program for 2027.

The Role

We are seeking to establish a pool of committed, resilient and highly motivated teachers, who prioritise strong relationships with the school community. We will work together to engage children, families and stakeholders in developing a culturally responsive, inclusive school.

We are looking for Primary Teachers who place a strong focus on their own professional growth and development and are keen to continue to learn and grow with a forward-thinking team. Suitable applicants will ideally be highly collaborative and work in Professional learning communities to support each other. The use of data and research to inform evidence based, whole school teaching and learning programs; and embed differentiated practice to support all students, will be a focus.

A commitment to team, solutions focussed problem solving, reflective practice and acting on feedback, is highly regarded. Suitable applicants will prioritise the use of evidence-based teaching and learning programs and be committed to the development and implementation of Waggrakine PS’s agreed pedagogical framework, to establish and deliver programs that progress student achievement in line with our School’s Purpose- ‘We achieve by caring, giving every student, every opportunity to succeed, learn and grow.’
